The Elowen Alabaster Teardrop Wall Sconce hangs a single drop of natural stone from a slim metal arm — a shape so simple it feels inevitable. The alabaster is carved into a full, rounded teardrop that narrows to a graceful neck at the top, and the cloudy veining runs right through it. Switched off, it rests against the wall like a pale stone pendant; switched on, the whole drop fills with a warm amber glow that seems to come from somewhere deep inside the stone.
That glow is the whole reason for real alabaster. Light doesn't shine out of it — it sinks into the stone and comes back softened, with no harsh hotspot and no bulb in view. The rounded base holds the most light and fades gently toward the neck, so the sconce reads brightest exactly where the eye lands.

For a bedside or mirror, mount the sconce so the center sits around 60–66″ from the floor (roughly eye level). Flanking a bed, space a pair to frame the headboard evenly; flanking a mirror, keep them just outside the glass and 28–40″ apart. Along a hallway, space fixtures 8–10 ft apart for an even rhythm of light. Because the drop hangs below the arm, check that the lowest point of the stone clears any furniture or headboard below it.

The Elowen Alabaster Teardrop Wall Sconce began with a shape nobody had to invent. A drop of water falling is the same silhouette every time — narrow at the top, heavy and round at the bottom, held together by its own weight. Carve that shape from natural stone, hang it from a wall, and it feels less designed than discovered.
The stone does the rest. Because it's real alabaster, light doesn't shine out of the drop — it sinks into the stone and comes back softened, gathering brightest in the full, rounded base and fading gently up toward the neck. That's exactly how a real drop of water holds light, and it's the reason the fixture glows rather than glares. There's no visible bulb, no hard edge to the light. Just a warm amber weight hanging on the wall.
Above it, the counterpoint: a clean right-angled arm and a square plate, sharp and architectural where the stone is soft and organic. That contrast is the entire design. Is the teardrop real alabaster?
Yes. Every drop is carved from genuine natural alabaster — never resin, glass, or acrylic. Because it's real stone, each teardrop has its own veining and slight color variation running right through the piece, which is the mark of authenticity, not a defect.
What finishes does it come in?
The arm and wall plate come in warm brass, brushed nickel, or dark bronze — gilded and classic, cool and contemporary, or quietly dramatic. Each is a warm or matte tone rather than a mirror finish, so it sits quietly with the stone and hides fingerprints instead of collecting them.
Will it be too bright or glary?
No. Light sinks inside the stone rather than shining straight out, gathering brightest in the rounded base and fading toward the neck. You get a soft amber glow with no visible hotspot — comfortable to sit beside and easy to look at directly. It's ambient light rather than a bright task beam.
What height should I mount it at?

Is the stone fragile? Will it arrive safely?
Alabaster is solid stone with real weight — durable in normal use, though like any natural stone it can chip if knocked hard. Each piece is packed in thick custom-cut foam inside a reinforced box, with the hardware wrapped separately. In the rare case something arrives damaged, message us with photos and we'll make it right.
How do I clean it?
Wipe both the stone and the metal gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, harsh chemicals, and abrasive pads — alabaster is a porous natural stone. Always switch off and let the bulb cool before cleaning.

Return Policy
Penmery’s return policy lasts for 30 days from the date you receive your item. Unfortunately, returns requested after this period are not eligible for a refund or exchange. To initiate a return, please email
support@penmery.com. We will reply with the return mailing address, and you will need to cover the shipping costs upfront (refunds for shipping costs may apply as needed).
Items must be unused and in their original packaging. We do not accept returns for:
- Installed or used items
- Returns requested after 30 days

- Orders canceled within 24 hours of purchase: Full refund.
- Orders canceled or modified after 24 hours but before shipment: 5% handling fee of the order total will apply.

Product Warranty:
All our products come with a 2-year warranty (excluding bulbs). Rest assured, if you experience any product issues during the warranty period, please contact us immediately at support@penmery.com.
Please send us details of the issue in the form of pictures or videos. Our customer service representative will respond within 12 hours to discuss the specific problem. If it's a part issue, we will mail new parts for replacement free of charge via express shipping. We also include 5-6 additional spare parts in the packaging of all products.
In cases where improper installation caused product contact issues, our technical experts will resolve the problem within 12 hours. (We strongly recommend using professional lighting personnel for installation.)
Note:
- Replacements will not include an entirely new product. If other parts of the fixture (e.g., crystals, screws, bulbs) are intact, we will only resend the defective components.
- Please ensure proper care and storage of the fixture while waiting for replacement parts.
- Product issues caused by man-made damage or natural disasters are not covered under our warranty policy.

If I receive a broken product, what should I do?
Firstly, you don’t need to worry about potential damage during shipping. Most of our products are securely packed in wooden crates, with additional protective layers such as cardboard boxes inside. This ensures that the products are well-protected and rarely arrive damaged.

How to return an item?
Return Instructions
- Do Not Use or Install: Keep the product unused.
- Original Packaging: Ensure the item is in its original packaging.
- Request a Return: Email support@penmery.com within 30 days of delivery, including your order number and photos/videos of the product. We’ll confirm eligibility within 48 hours.
- Shipping Back: If approved, we’ll provide the return address and instructions. Returns without authorization won’t be accepted. Use a tracked and signed shipping method, as we aren’t responsible for lost items.
- Refund or Exchange: Once received, we’ll inspect the item within 3-5 business days and issue a refund or exchange.
